Australian beauty brand ModelCo is famed for it’s high profile celebrity collaborations, having teamed up with Hailey Baldwin, Elle MacPherson and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in the past for hugely successful, sell-out collections.  This time however, is the turn of the godfather of fashion, Kaiser Karl.

It’s not Karl Lagerfeld’s first foray into the world of beauty, having produced capsule cosmetic collections for Shu Uemura and obviously at the helm of Chanel, Lagerfeld is instrumental in orchestrating the intricate beauty looks that grace the runway during Paris Fashion Week.  This is however, one of the most hyped beauty collaborations in recent times, you thought that not so hush-hush L’Oreal x Balmain lip colour collection was big news?  Karl Lagerfeld + ModelCo is a whole other level.

The limited edition colour cosmetics collection is based on the theme of “Illuminated Beauty” and aims to fuse ModelCo’s high quality cosmetic formulas with Lagerfeld’s unmistakeable modern, cool aesthetic.  Expected to hit stores in early 2018, Karl Lagerfeld + ModelCo is already the most coveted cosmetic collection for 2018 and despite having released no images of what we can expect from the range, it’s still one of the most Google searched for phrases relating to cosmetics and beauty.

So far, details about the collection are limited, I expect images will be drip fed from September onwards building on the buzz left by Fashion Month SS18, what we do know however, is that once released, the collection will be available via the ModelCo website, “top tier beauty retailers” and Lagerfeld’s own website.
