Well Voyeurs, today I was interviewed by a very lovely lady from online student publication, Fashion North for a feature on Northern Stars.

Fashion North is a one stop shop; a fast paced hub dedicated to all things fashion and beauty and these girls (think they) have their fingers on the pulse.  The entire staff is made up of Fashion Journalism students at Sunderland University, students who have little to no idea that their degree is being taught and delivered by a total fascist.

If there was ever an awesome advert for how not to do Fashion Journalism, then Fashion North is it. But sadly I wouldn’t discover that’s until a little later down the line.

I was asked if I’d be willing to be interviewed for a feature on Fashion North by Deputy Editor Alysha Stirling and being an advocate for both fashion and the North East, I agreed without hesitation, because I’m nice like that.

I met with Alysha over peppermint tea and we talked fashion, beauty, politics and women in sport and it was like chatting with an old friend; an old friend with better winged eyeliner then me.  Me with last night’s hair and her with a gorgeous fluffy coat.

Wearing the remnants of a silver star transfer on my cheek from the night before and my gym kit I asked her “Why me?” and when she replied with “I just think that you’re really cool”  I knew we were going to hit it off.  Or so I thought anyway.

She asked about my infamous Miami wedding – it’s my wedding anniversary tomorrow – and I paused as I had a vague memory of jumping into a pool in my wedding dress.  Is that rock and roll I ask myself?  Nah, just totes stupid I summise so I don’t tell her that particular gem.

If I’m completely honest, the whole experience was a little odd.  Yes,  gave a very personal Intu review with someone professing to be a fan.  Whether she was lying to me or not I’ll never know, what I do know is that she went back and hit publish on a nicely ton d but poorly written piece about me, my life and how I’d arrived in my current position however it was Live for less than 48 hours.  The reason she gave me was flimsy at best.  Her lecturer is a hater.  Not just a Fashion Voyeur Hater but a blogger hater and an undoubted Pixie Tenenbaum hater.

In a nutshell the piece was removed, naive Stirling believed the utter bullshit fed to her by this woman, who had in turn been fed that bullshit by my deranged next door neighbour.  Seriously Voyeurs, you don’t even want to get me started on this crazy bitch but things unravelled, Stirling caved and a few of her class mates emailed me with similar stories about how they’d be been given crazy information about me and my family and told that they were not to discuss or affiliate with me in anyway.  It’s crazy to have that level of fame and influence in some fucked up University that was voted one of the worst in the country.  You literally can’t get the staff voyeurs.

So Voyeurs, don’t bother checking out Fashion North, I was erased, every last trace, except in the FaceBook Group that four students created to share information about it, now that’s where the real juicy stuff is….

Good morning Pixie! what a nice little read to start my day! how lovely that these young students are showing entrepreneurial spirit even while they’re still studying. It sounds like the interview with you will be an interesting read…especially if the hidden secrets are anything like your ‘pool jumping’ tenancies! I’ll be asking all about your infamous wedding next time our paths cross too! ? June x
